Dynamical response properties of a canonical model for type-I membranes

چکیده
We study a canonical model of type-I membranes subject to correlated fluctuating input currents. We present a semi-analytical approach for calculating the response of this neuron model to time dependent inputs both in the input current and the noise amplitude using a novel sparse matrix representation of the systems Fokker–Planck operator. It turns out, that the maximum stimulation frequency which can be transmitted through this model neuron is approximately given by the stationary firing rate. Our results agree well with the behavior of a conductance-based model-neuron but are in qualitative disagreement with key response properties of leaky integrate-and-fire neurons. r 2004 Elsevier B.V. Proposing a 2D Dynamical Model for Investigating the parameters Affecting Whiplash Injuries
This paper proposes a 2D dynamical model for evaluating parameters affecting whiplash. In fact a four segment dynamical model is developed in the sagittal plane for the analysis. The model response is validated using the existing experimental data and is shown to simulate the "S-Shape" and "initial upward ramping" kinematics of the cervical spine and the resulting dynamics observed in human and...
متن کاملDynamical behavior and synchronization of chaotic chemical reactors model
In this paper, we discuss the dynamical properties of a chemical reactor model including Lyapunov exponents, bifurcation, stability of equilibrium and chaotic attractors as well as necessary conditions for this system to generate chaos. We study the synchronization of chemical reactors model via sliding mode control scheme. The stability of proposed method is proved by Barbalate’s lemma. Numeri...
متن کاملEvaluation of Canonical Correlations between Masticatory Muscle Orientation and Craniodentofacial Morphology in 10-17 Year_Olds
Objectives: Different theories have been suggested to define factors involved in skeletal and craniofacial morphology. Many of these theories explain that the bone morphology is the result of the bone tissue capability to adapt in response to biomechanical forces exerted during growth. Also, it seems logical to hypothesize that there is a relationship between biomechanical connections of muscle...
متن کاملDynamical behavior of a stage structured prey-predator model
In this paper, a new stage structured prey-predator model with linear functional response is proposed and studied. The stages for prey have been considered. The proposed mathematical model consists of three nonlinear ordinary differential equations to describe the interaction among juvenile prey, adult prey and predator populations. The model is analyzed by using linear stability analysis to ob...
متن کاملCapturing the Dynamical Repertoire of Single Neurons with Generalized Linear Models
A key problem in computational neuroscience is to find simple, tractable models that are nevertheless flexible enough to capture the response properties of real neurons. Here we examine the capabilities of recurrent point process models known as Poisson generalized linear models (GLMs). These models are defined by a set of linear filters and a point nonlinearity and are conditionally Poisson sp...
