چکیده

Motivated by the possibility of H0t0 > 1 where H0 and t0 are the Hubble parameter and the age of the universe, respectively, we investigate the cosmology including xmatter. x-matter is expressed by the equation of state px = w0ρx0 + c 2 s (ρx − ρx0), where px, ρx and ρx0 are the pressure, the density of x-matter and the density at present, respectively. w0 and c 2 s are functions of ρx in general. x-matter has the most general form of the equation of state which is characterized by 1)violation of strong energy condition at present for w0 < −1/3 ; 2) locally stable (i.e. c 2 s ≥ 0); 3)causality is guaranteed (cs ≤ 1). Considering the case that w0 and c 2 s are constants, we find that there is a large parameter space of (w0, c 2 s ,Ωx0) in which the model universe is consistent with the age of the universe and the observations of distant Type I supernovae.

Clusters of Galaxies: a Fundamental Pillar of Cosmology

Clusters of galaxies are used in a variety of ways to do cosmology. Some of them are presented here. Their X-ray emitting gas allows us to determine the baryon fraction, dark matter distribution and the matter density Ωm of the universe. Another interesting component is relativistic particles whose radio emission provide the measure of the magnetic fields (≈ μG) in the intra-cluster medium (ICM...

We study the cosmology of the Brans-Dicke theory with perfect fluid type matter. In our previous work, we found exact solutions for any Brans-Dicke parameter ω and for general parameter γ of equation of state. In this paper we further study the cosmology of these solutions by analyzing them according to their asymptotic behaviors. The cosmology is classified into 19 phases according to the valu...

Decaying Cold Dark Matter Model and Small-scale Power

The canonical cosmological constant dominated cold dark matter model (ΛCDM ) may possess too much power on small scales at z = 0, manifested as central over-concentration of dark matter and over-abundance of dwarf galaxies. We suggest an alternative model, ΛDCDM, where one half of the cold dark matter particles decay into relativistic particles by z = 0. The model successfully lowers the concen...

The current state of cosmology is easy to summarize: a very successful standard model – the hot big-bang cosmology – that accounts for the evolution of the Universe from 10 sec until the present; bold ideas based upon early-Universe physics – foremost among them inflation and cold dark matter – that can extend the standard cosmology to times as early as 10 sec and address the most pressing ques...

A Measurement of H0 from the Sunyaev-zeldovich Effect

We present a determination of the Hubble constant, H0, from measurements of the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect in an orientation-unbiased sample of seven galaxy clusters. With improved X-ray models and a more z ! 0.1 accurate 32 GHz calibration, we obtain km s 1 Mpc 1 for a standard cold dark matter (CDM) 14 H p 64 14 0 11 sys cosmology, or km s 1 Mpc 1 for a flat LCDM cosmology. In combination with ...

We investigate the thermal relic density of a cold dark matter in the brane world cosmology. Since the expansion law in a high energy regime is modified from the one in the standard cosmology, if the dark matter decouples in such a high energy regime its relic number density is affected by this modified expansion law. We derive analytic formulas for the number density of the dark matter. It is ...
