چکیده
We study the angular momentum profile of dark matter halos for a statistical sample drawn from a set of high-resolution cosmological simulations of 256 3 particles. Two typical Cold Dark Matter (CDM) models have been analyzed, and the halos are selected to have at least 3 × 10 4 particles in order to reliably measure the angular momentum profile. In contrast with the recent claims of Bullock et al., we find that the degree of misalignment of angular momentum within a halo is very high. About 50 percent of halos have more than 10 percent of halo mass in the mass of negative angular momentum j. After the mass of negative j is excluded, the cumulative mass function M(< j) follows approximately the universal function proposed by Bullock et al., though we still find a significant fraction of halos (∼ 50%) which exhibit systematical deviations from the universal function. Our results, however, are broadly in good agreement with a recent work of van den Bosch et al.. We also study the angular momentum profile of halos in a Warm Dark Matter (WDM) model and a Self-Interacting Dark Matter (SIDM) model. We find that the angular momentum profile of halos in the WDM is statistically indistinguishable from that in the CDM model, but the angular momentum of halos in the SIDM is reduced by the self-interaction of dark matter.

We use N-body simulations on highly parallel supercomputers to study the structure of galactic dark matter halos. The systems form by gravitational collapse from scale-free and more general Gaussian initial density perturbations in an expanding 400 Mpc 3 spherical slice of an Einstein-deSitter universe. We use N 10 6 and a force softening = 5 kpc in most of our models. We analyze the structure ...

In this article we consider the growth of seed black holes immersed in dark matter halos. We first investigate the adiabatic growth in various initial distribution functions (isothermal, power law, and NFW) and find the resulting density, radial velocity, and anisotropy profiles. In addition we estimate the growth rate for a given black hole mass in the corresponding adiabatically modified dark...
متن کاملAngular Momentum Profiles of Warm Dark Matter Halos
We compare the specific angular momentum profiles of virialized dark halos in cold dark matter (CDM) and warm dark matter (WDM) models using high-resolution dissipationless simulations. The simulations were initialized using the same set of modes, except on small scales, where the power was suppressed in WDM below the filtering length. Remarkably, WDM as well as CDM halos are welldescribed by t...

The evolution of dark matter halos in phase-space, based on cosmological numerical simulations and on the phase-space density indicator Q = ρ/σ 3 , is discussed. The follow up of individual halos indicates two distinct evolutionary phases. First, an early and fast decrease of Q associated to virialization after the gravitational collapse takes place. The nice agreement between simulated data an...
