Scalar scenarios contributing to ( g − 2 ) μ with enhanced

چکیده
In this work we address contributions from scalars to (g − 2)μ. In order to explain the recently measured deviation by the BNL experiment on (g − 2)μ, it is necessary that these scalars are either light or couple strongly with muons. Here we explore this last possibility. We show that a scalar with mass of the order of 10 GeV provides significant contribution to (g − 2)μ if the Yukawa coupling is about 10−1. We suggest scenarios where this comes about naturally. 12.60.Fr; 12.60.-i. Typeset using REVTEX ∗e-mail:[email protected] †e-mail:[email protected]

متن کاملPrecision muon g − 2 results and light Higgs bosons in the 2 HDM ( II )
We discuss the implications of the recent evaluations of the SM contribution to aμ = (g− 2)μ/2 in the light of the latest E821 measurement, which indicate ∼ 3σ deviation. We derive the 95% CL interval, δaμ, to be used to constrain any additional contribution to aμ, beyond the SM ones; it has to have a positive sign. We apply the δaμ to constrain the light Higgs-boson scenarios in a Two-Higgs-Do...

Einstein’s field equations for a spherically symmetric metric coupled to a massless scalar field are reduced to a system for the metric functions only, decoupled from the scalar field φ. In suitable logarithmic coordinates, these equations involving μ = m/r and y = (α/ra), where a, α, r and m are as in [W.M. The Standard Model (SM) prediction for the ratio ε′/ε appears to be significantly below the experimental data. Also εK in the SM tends to be below the data. Any new physics (NP) removing these anomalies will first of all have impact on flavour observables in the K meson system, in particular on rare decays K+ → π+νν̄, KL → π0νν̄, KL → μ+μ− and KL → π0`+`− and ∆MK . Restricting the operators contr...
