چکیده
Sir, Lymphocytoma cutis of Spiegler-Fendt type is a rare chronic B lymphocyte proliferation a¡ecting the head and the neck in particular. It is characterized by solitary or grouped nodules or plaques which are purple or red and may reach a diameter of 3 ^ 5 cm. Although lymphocytoma cutis is a benign disorder, it often runs a protracted, even life-long course. Progression to malignant B cell lymphoma in a small percentage of patients is suggested by long-term follow-up of these patients. A therapy of proven value for lymphocytoma cutis is, however, lacking. We report here 2 cases of lymphocytoma cutis which were successfully treated with interferon alpha-2b. Both patients had previously received various unsuccessful therapies, but responded well to interferon.

Phototherapy sessions were suggested as treatment (13 PUVA sessions, with an accumulated dose of 58.65 J/cm2 ). The improvemen...

Pterygium is characterized by an elastic degeneration of the conjunctiva that extends across the limbos and invades the cornea. The recurrence rate is varied from 25-80% after primary closure to 6% with free conjunctival and Iimbal grafts. Several adjunctive therapies have been investigated for recurrent pte¬rygium. This article presents a 52-year-old athletic man who was seen for evaluation of...

Introduction: The aim of this study is to assess the therapeutic efficacy and safety of a particular brand of IFN alpha (PDferon B®) in combination with ribavirin (RlBA) on Iranian patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC). The addition of RIBA to the standard treatment with interferon (IFN) alpha led to an improvement in sustained virologic response (SVR) from less than 20% with IFN monother...
