Quality management applied to undergraduate software development projects

Software development and application has become a dominant feature of business and engineering activity in the 90’s. This trend has significantly effected current approaches to engineering education, with computers, software development and applications being applied pervasively in undergraduate courses. In many respects, however, formal software development sits uncomfortably in the traditional electrical and electronic engineering degree programme since the disciplines of software management are viewed as secondary to the essential engineering task at hand.
