On effectively closed sets of effective strong measure zero

چکیده
The strong measure zero sets of reals have been widely studied in the context of set theory of the real line. The notion of strong measure zero is straightforwardly effectivized. A set of reals is said to be of effective strong measure zero if for any computable sequence {εn}n∈N of positive rationals, a sequence of intervals In of diameter εn covers the set. We observe that a set is of effective strong measure zero if and only if it is of measure zero with respect to any outer measure constructed by Monroe’s Method from a computable atomless outer premeasure defined on all open balls. This measure-theoretic restatement permits many characterizations of strong measure zero in terms of semimeasures as well as martingales. We show that for closed subsets of Cantor space, effective strong nullness is equivalent to another well-studied notion called diminutiveness, the property of not having a computably perfect subset. Further, we prove that if P is a nonempty effective strong measure zero Π1 set consisting only of noncomputable elements, then some Martin-Löf random reals computes no element in P , and P has an element that computes no autocomplex real. Finally, we construct two different special Π1 sets, one of which is not of effective strong measure zero, but consists only of infinitely-often K-trivial reals, and the other is perfect and of effective strong measure zero, but contains no anti-complex reals.

Effective Capacity and Randomness of Closed Sets
We investigate the connection between measure and capacity for the space C of nonempty closed subsets of 2N. For any computable measure μ∗, a computable capacity T may be defined by letting T (Q) be the measure of the family of closed sets K which have nonempty intersection with Q. We prove an effective version of the Choquet’s theorem by showing that every computable capacity may be obtained f...
متن کاملCompleteness results for metrized rings and lattices
The Boolean ring $B$ of measurable subsets of the unit interval, modulo sets of measure zero, has proper radical ideals (for example, ${0})$ that are closed under the natural metric, but has no prime ideal closed under that metric; hence closed radical ideals are not, in general, intersections of closed prime ideals. Moreover, $B$ is known to be complete in its metric. Togethe...

Let X be a set of reals. We show that • X has property C′′ of Rothberger iff for all closed F ⊆ R×R with vertical sections Fx (x ∈ X) null, ⋃ x∈X Fx is null; • X has strong measure zero iff for all closed F ⊆ R×R with all vertical sections Fx (x ∈ R) null, x∈X Fx is null.
متن کاملZero sets in pointfree topology and strongly $z$-ideals
In this paper a particular case of z-ideals, called strongly z-ideal, is defined by introducing zero sets in pointfree topology. We study strongly z-ideals, their relation with z-ideals and the role of spatiality in this relation. For strongly z-ideals, we analyze prime ideals using the concept of zero sets. Moreover, it is proven that the intersection of all zero sets of a prime ideal of C(L),...
متن کاملClosed Measure Zero Sets
We study the relationship between the σ-ideal generated by closed measure zero sets and the ideals of null and meager sets. We show that the additivity of the ideal of closed measure zero sets is not bigger than covering for category. As a consequence we get that the additivity of the ideal of closed measure zero sets is equal to the additivity of the ideal of meager sets.
