چکیده
Dynamically Reconfigurable Resource Array DRRA is an architecture concept that is in tune with the technology trend: exponentially increasing device density due to shrinking geometry, 3D integration and potential new device structures in future. DRRA’s objectives are: 1. Radically improve performance/energy metric: Minimize movement of data, 2. Simplify the programming model to exploit the massive concurrency 3. Programmable/reconfigurable architecture so that it can be reused and can cope with change in specifications. 4. Tolerant to manufacturing variations and runtime failure of some resources.

Dynamic Scheduling and Resource Management in Heterogeneous Computing Environments with Reconfigurable Hardware
Dynamically reconfigurable hardware resources within complex heterogeneous computing environments show tremendous potential for an improvement in system performance, a reduction in the necessary number of processing resources, an increase in system degradability in the presence of faults, and an expansion of system flexibility, field upgradeability, and system lifecycles. However, efficient man...
متن کاملHardware Context-Switch Methodology for Dynamically Partially Reconfigurable Systems
Nowadays, the hardware of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) can be reconfigured both dynamically and partially. A dynamically and partially reconfigurable system can share hardware contexts among various hardware tasks. However, such FPGA systems require much memory to save the hardware context. To solve this problem, this work proposes a methodology for switching hardware context in dynam...

Dynamically Reconfigurable Field Programmable Gate Arrays (DR FPGAs) change many of the basic assumptions of what hardware is. DR FPGA-based dynamically reconfigurable computing has become a powerful methodology for achieving high performance while minimizing the resource required in the implementation of many applications. The key to harnessing the power of DR FPGAs for most applications is to...

متن کاملMaintaining Virtual Areas on FPGAs using Strip Packing with Delays
The computing resources available on dynamically partially reconfigurable devices increase every year enormously. In the near future, we expect that many applications run on a single reconfigurable device. In this paper, we present a concept for multitasking on dynamically partially reconfigurable systems called virtual area management. We explain its advantages, show its challenges, and discus...
