چکیده
RESULTS: SSO demonstrated decreased wholebrain intrinsic connectivity compared to controls in left BA-39 and bilateral BA-7’s (p=0.071), which are the superior parietal lobules and the angular gyrus. UCS had significantly decreased intrinsic connectivity throughout the prefrontal cortex (PFC, p=0.031). On seed-based analysis, UCS had significantly increased connectivity between left BA-40 and bilateral BA-6, BA-8, and BA-9, and left BA-32 (p=0.050), between left BA-7 and the anterior PFC (p=0.065), and between left BA-7 and right BA-7 and BA-9 (p=0.077). MSO demonstrated increased connectivity between the left BA-7 seed and the right inferior frontal gyrus and right insula (p=0.090).

Suday, O cber 8, 2017 CONCLUSION: Open cranial vault remodeling with fronto-orbital advancement is a safe and reproducible procedure with excellent literature to support short-term outcomes. However, little data exist to evaluate this patient population as they mature. Our study critically evaluates physical exam findings, neurocognitive development, and anthropometric assessments in this patie...

متن کاملImpact of Fronto-Orbital Advancement on Frontal Sinus Volume, Morphology, and Disease in Nonsyndromic Craniosynostosis.
BACKGROUND Fronto-orbital advancement for nonsyndromic craniosynostosis has been thought to injure frontal sinus buds, lead to chronic sinus disease, and influence final forehead shape. This study investigates the effect of fronto-orbital advancement in infancy on subsequent frontal sinus volume, morphology, and disease. METHODS The authors conducted a retrospective review of nonsyndromic cra...
متن کاملConcurrent repair of orbital shallowness with craniosynostosis surgery: two late cases of simultaneous orbital decompression.
Early closure of cranial sutures results in various types of cranial vault deformities, named craniosynostosis. Although mostly associated with syndromic cases, bony orbit deformities such as exorbitism can be seen with various types of craniosynostosis. This condition can be associated with papilledema and besides its effect on the patient's appearance can cause subluxation of the globe, lagop...
متن کاملPosterior Cranial Vault Distraction Osteogenesis with Barrel Stave Osteotomy in the Treatment of Craniosynostosis
Twenty years have passed since distraction osteogenesis was introduced into the field of craniomaxillofacial surgery, with distraction osteogenesis gradually consolidating its position for midface advancement in syndromic craniosynostosis. On the other hand, no consensus has been reached regarding its adaptation to calvarial bone. We reported that distraction osteogenesis was useful in posterio...
