Dynamic conductivity of symmetric three-barrier plane nanosystem in constant electric field

چکیده
The theory of dynamic conductivity of nanosystem is developed within the model of rectangular potentials and different effective masses of electron in open three-barrier resonance-tunnel structure in a constant homogeneous electric field. The application of this theory for the improvement of operating characteristics of quantum cascade laser active region (for the experimentally investigated In0.53Ga0.47As/In0.52Al0.48As heterosystem) proves that for a certain geometric design of nanosystem there exists such minimal magnitude of constant electric field intensity, at which the electromagnetic field radiation power together with the density of current flowing through the separate cascade of quantum laser becomes maximal.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of the variable thermal conductivity and the inclined uniform magnetic field on the plane Poiseuille flow of viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid between two porous plates Joule heating in the presence of a constant pressure gradient through non-uniform plate temperature. It is assumed that the fluid injection occurs at lower pl...
متن کاملStudy of leaky dielectric droplet behavior under an electric field: effect of viscosity and electric conductivity ratios
In this research, hydrodynamic behavior of a leaky dielectric droplet under an electric field is simulated. The level set method is used for interface tracking and the ghost fluid method is used for modeling discontinuous quantities at interface. Using Taylor’s leaky dielectric model, electric field and electric force at the interface is calculated. Simulation results show the droplet deformati...

This paper deals with the measurement of AC corona inception voltage, Vincp, at the tip of a rod electrode using a hemispherically-capped rod-plane electrode configuration for various rod radii with a short air gap. Effects of atmospheric pressure and temperature variation on Vincp are investigated experimentally. An empirical equation for the field form factors of the hemispherically cappe...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Tissue Conductivity during High-frequency and Low-voltage Irreversible Electroporation
Introduction: Irreversible electroporation (IRE) is a process in which the membrane of the cancer cells are irreversibly damaged with the use of high-intensity electric pulses, which in turn leads to cell death. The IRE is a non-thermal way to ablate the cancer cells. This process relies on the distribution of the electric field, which affects the pulse amplitude, width, and electrical conducti...

Algebraic models of porosity, specific surface area, and in-plane effective thermal conductivity for stacked, two-dimensional symmetric diamond-weave screen laminations are developed and benchmarked with laboratory experiments. Diamond-weave laminations are found to have greater metal fractions and specific surface area than equivalent orthogonal-weaves. With the weave angle smaller than 90°, t...
