The book, with the astonishing claim that it gives "The (not 'an') Explanation of Criminality", makes the points of view of the social learning theorists and sociologists like Baroness Wootton and Professor Eysenck whose work is quoted frequently with approval. It belongs to the "Right" school of psychology, to Pavlov, Hull and Mowrer's viewpoints. Modern man is to be conditioned, "brain-washed" and subject to "puppy training" from an early age. Everything has to have a scientific framework into which it must be fitted.
