Kin Selection with Twin Genetic Programming
نویسنده
چکیده
In steady state Twin GP both children created by sub-tree crossover and point mutation are used. They are born together and die together. Evolution is little changed. Indeed fitness selection using the twin’s co-conceived doppelganger is possible.

Dimensionality Reduction and Improving the Performance of Automatic Modulation Classification using Genetic Programming (RESEARCH NOTE)
This paper shows how we can make advantage of using genetic programming in selection of suitable features for automatic modulation recognition. Automatic modulation recognition is one of the essential components of modern receivers. In this regard, selection of suitable features may significantly affect the performance of the process. Simulations were conducted with 5db and 10db SNRs. Test and ...
متن کاملUsing Genetic Algorithm in Solving Stochastic Programming for Multi-Objective Portfolio Selection in Tehran Stock Exchange
Investor decision making has always been affected by two factors: risk and returns. Considering risk, the investor expects an acceptable return on the investment decision horizon. Accordingly, defining goals and constraints for each investor can have unique prioritization. This paper develops several approaches to multi criteria portfolio optimization. The maximization of stock returns, the pow...
متن کاملTheoretical Predictions for Sociogenomic Data: The Effects of Kin Selection and Sex-Limited Expression on the Evolution of Social Insect Genomes
Kin selection theory has always been explicitly genetic and has long been invoked to explain the evolution of the sterile worker caste in the social insects. However, sociogenomic studies of the evolution and genomic basis of social insect caste have been largely disconnected from kin selection theory and other related genetic theories of social evolution. Two previous population genetic models...
متن کاملKin Selection, Group Selection, and the Varieties of Population Structure
Various results show the ‘formal equivalence’ of kin and group selectionist methodologies, but this does not preclude there being a real and useful distinction between kin and group selection processes. I distinguish individualand population-centred approaches to drawing such a distinction, and I proceed to develop the latter. On the account I advance, the differences between kin and group sele...
