Integrating Diverse Information Resources into Dialogue Updates ?
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper a formal model of dialogue update in context will be presented which shows how information states can be represented which identify and integrate separate information resources such as utterance events, background resource situations and visual scenes. The proposal uses ideas from dynamic semantics (including discourse representation theory), situation semantics and recent a recent proposal for a treatment of records and dependent record types by Betarte and Tasistro (forthcoming) within the framework of Martin-LL of type theory.

Dialogue Management for Conversational Case-Based Reasoning
Two key objectives of conversational case-based reasoning (CCBR) systems are (1) eliciting case facts in a manner that minimizes the user’s burden in terms of resources such as time, information cost, and cognitive load, and (2) integrating CBR with other problem solving modalities. This paper proposes an architecture that addresses both these goals by integrating CBR with a discourse-oriented ...
متن کاملEvaluation of Updating Methods in Building Blocks Dataset
With the increasing use of spatial data in daily life, the production of this data from diverse information sources with different precision and scales has grown widely. Generating new data requires a great deal of time and money. Therefore, one solution is to reduce costs is to update the old data at different scales using new data (produced on a similar scale). One approach to updating data i...
متن کاملExperiments with Interactive Question-Answering
This paper describes a novel framework for interactive question-answering (Q/A) based on predictive questioning. Generated off-line from topic representations of complex scenarios, predictive questions represent requests for information that capture the most salient (and diverse) aspects of a topic. We present experimental results from large user studies (featuring a fully-implemented interacti...
متن کاملTowards a Formal View of Corrective Feedback
This paper introduces a formal view of the semantics and pragmatics of corrective feedback in dialogues between adults and children. The goal of this research is to give a formal account of language coordination in dialogue, and semantic coordination in particular. Accounting for semantic coordination requires (1) a semantics, i.e. an architecture allowing for dynamic meanings and meaning updat...
متن کاملIntegrating OWL Ontologies with a Dialogue Manager
This paper describes the integration of OWL ontologies as external knowledge resources for dialogue systems. The current work focuses on implementing a domain-independent agent whose role is to deal with any ontology without losing expressivity, by using the existing OWL reasoners and the static structure SubjectProperty-Object common to every ontology with OWL format
