Beam energy dependence of d and d̄ productions in Au+Au collisions at RHIC

چکیده
Light nuclei have much smaller binding energy compared to the temperature of the system created in heavy-ion collisions. Consequently, the distributions of light nuclei can be used to probe the freeze-out properties, such as correlation volume and local baryon density of the medium created in high-energy nuclear collisions. In this paper, we report the results of deuteron and anti-deuteron production in Au+Au collision at √ sNN = 7.7, 11.5, 14.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 62.4, and 200 GeV, measured by STAR at RHIC. The collision energy, centrality and transverse momentum dependence of the coalescence parameter B2 for deuteron and anti-deuteron production are discussed. We find the values of B2 for anti-deuteron are systematically lower than those for deuterons indicating the correlation volume of anti-baryon are larger than that of baryon. In addition, the values of B2 are found to decrease with increasing collision energy and reach a minimum around √ sNN = 20 GeV implying a change of the equation of state of the medium in these collisions.

Pion Interferometry in Auau Collisions at √ S Nn =200 Gev
We present preliminary results from a two-pion intensity interferometry analysis from Au+Au collisions at √ s NN =200 GeV measured in the STAR detector at RHIC. The dependence of the apparent pion source on multiplicity and transverse momentum are discussed and compared with preliminary results from d+Au and p+p collisions at the same beam energy.
متن کاملRevealing the collision energy dependence of η/s in RHIC-BES Au+Au collisions using Bayesian statistics
We investigate the collision energy dependence of η/s in a transport + viscous hydrodynamics hybrid model. A Bayesian analysis is performed on RHIC beam energy scan data for Au + Au collisions at √ sNN = 19.6, 39, and 62.4 GeV. The resulting posterior probability distributions for the model parameters show a preference for a larger value of η/s at 19.6 GeV compared to 62.4 GeV, indicating depen...
متن کاملIdentified Particle Production at High Transverse Momentum in Nucleus-nucleus Collisions at Rhic
Experimental results for identified hadron spectra in AA collisions at RHIC are reviewed. Jet suppression in central AuAu collisions at 200 GeV is seen in leading meson and baryon spectra at high pt. Enhanced baryon production at intermediate pT (2 < pt < 5 GeV/c) is related to quark content but not its mass. In d+Au collisions Cronin enhancement is observed with larger magnitude for baryons th...
متن کاملRapidity equilibration in d + Au and Au + Au systems Georg
In a Relativistic Diffusion Model (RDM), the evolution of netproton rapidity spectra with √ sNN in heavy systems is proposed as an indicator for local equilibration and longitudinal expansion. The broad midrapidity valley recently discovered at RHIC in central Au + Au collisions at √ sNN= 200 GeV suggests rapid local equilibration which is most likely due to deconfinement, and fast longitudinal...
