چکیده
In this paper, we propose a novel acoustic echo suppression (AES) technique based on soft decision in a frequency domain. The proposed approach provides an ef cient and uni ed framework for such procedures as AES gain computation, AES gain modi cation using soft decision, and estimation of relevant parameters based on the same statistical model assumption of the near-end and far-end signal instead of the conventional strategies requiring the additional residual echo suppression (RES) step. Performances of the proposed AES algorithm are evaluated by objective tests under various environments and better results compared with the conventional AES method are obtained.

Integrated acoustic echo and background noise suppression technique based on soft decision
In this paper, we propose an efficient integrated acoustic echo and noise suppression algorithm using the combined power of acoustic echo and background noise within a soft decision framework. The combined power of the acoustic echo and noise is adopted to the integrated suppression algorithm based on soft decision to address the artifacts such as the nonlinear distortion and the disturbed nois...
متن کاملA soft-partitioned frequency-domain adaptive filter for acoustic echo cancellation
We present a sop-partitioned frequency-domain adaptive filter (SPFDAF) and compare it in the context of other LMS type acoustic echo cancelers. The SPFDAF uses a non-rectangular window to partition the model taps (impulse response) of an echo canceler. Our soji window can be approximated very efficiently in the DF? domain and still attenuates aliasing components of the DFT by 40 dB. This techni...
متن کاملDouble-talk detection based on soft decision for acoustic echo suppression
In this paper, we propose a novel double-talk detection (DTD) technique based on a soft decision in the frequency domain. The proposed method provides an efficient procedure to detect the double-talk situation by the use of the global near-end speech presence probability (GNSPP) and voice activity detection (VAD) of the near-end and far-end signal. Specifically, the GNSPP is derived based on a ...
متن کاملOn using Gaussian mixture model for double-talk detection in acoustic echo suppression
In this paper, we propose a novel frequency-domain approach to double-talk detection (DTD) based on the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). In contrast to a previous approach based on a simple and heuristic decision rule utilizing time-domain crosscorrelations, GMM is applied to a set of feature vectors extracted from the frequency-domain cross-correlation coefficients. Performance of the proposed ap...

This paper proposes a stereo acoustic echo suppression method for duplex stereo teleconferencing. Firstly the stereo signals are combined in the frequency domain to build a single-channel signal. Secondly, with the single-channel signal model, an optimal Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance (LCMV) filter based on the Widely Linear theory is derived, which is applied on microphone signal direct...
