Lymphoid tissue appears to l)e particularly sensitive to x-radiation,’’ nitrogen mustard,6’7 and triethylene melamine.7 Aminopteriis produces relatively little change in lymphoid tissue, hut. injures myeloid tissue severely.8’#{176} Few cytochemical studies of the effect of these agents on hemopoietic tissue have been undertaken.3’” The present study deals chiefly with the cytochemical alterations of the lymph nodes and spleen in the rat following treatment with x-ray.
