Notes of Six Months' Work in the Midwifery Wards of the Women's Hospital, Melbourne, from 1st January to 30th June 1886

During this pprinH ap^nn^hements occurred in the Hospital. Married women, 94; single women, lS*4: total, 258. Of these, 148 were i.-parse, 67 were ii.-parse, 22 were iii.-parae, 2 were iv.parae, 19 were iv. to xiv.-parae: total, 258. Of the puerperal mortality?one died in eclampsia; one died with double pleurisy and peritonitis. There were three other deaths in the department, and Dr Wm. Moore, who made the post-mortem examinations, states that there
