چکیده
Materials and methods EMBASE, PubMed, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched by two independent reviewers for all relevant studies published from 1945 to October 2014. Studies were included if they met all of the following inclusion criteria: 1) Prospective or retrospective cohort study, case-cohort, case-control design, or crosssectional study; 2) Measurement of plasma PAI-1 (antigen concentrations or activity levels); 3) Assessment of T2D (self-reported physician diagnosis and/or medication usage and/or laboratory diagnosed); 4) Adult study population (≥18 yrs.) at baseline, and 5) Article was reported in English. Prospective studies were pooled using a random-effects model to generate summary RRs and 95% CIs.

Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1 4G/5G Polymorphism Contributes to Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head Susceptibility: Evidence from a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Background: The Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1 gene 4G/5G (PAI-1 4G/5G) polymorphism has been suggestedto be associated with osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) susceptibility; however, the results are conflicting andinconclusive. We have carried out a comprehensive meta-analysis to derive a more precise estimation of the association. Methods: A comprehensive search in PubMed, EMBASE, Go...
متن کاملSerum Level of Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor Type-1 in Addicted Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
Background: Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) is a glycoprotein with inhibitory effects on the formation of plasmin from plasminogen by plasminogen activator. Thus, it prevents clot lysis in vessel walls. Several evidences prove the relationship between coronary artery disease and response to fibrinolytic therapy in patients with myocardial infarction with PAI-1 level. Opium addiction i...
متن کاملPlasminogen activator inhibitor-1 4G/5G polymorphism and retinopathy risk in type 2 diabetes: a meta-analysis
BACKGROUND Mounting evidence has suggested that plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) is a candidate for increased risk of diabetic retinopathy. Studies have reported that insertion/deletion polymorphism in the PAI-1 gene may influence the risk of this disease. To comprehensively address this issue, we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the association of PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphism with di...
متن کاملThe Effect of Resistance Exercise on Blood Glucose, Insulin and Insulin resistance in Iranian Patients with Type II Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Objective: Resistance exercise is recommended as effective treatments for people with type 2 diabetes. However, the impact of this mode of exercise on blood glucose, insulin and insulin resistance in Iranian's type 2 diabetic patients is unclear. We conducted a systematic review of the literature for the effect of resistance exercise training on these clinical markers in Iranian's type 2 diabet...
متن کاملA Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials Comparing the Safety of Dapagliflozin in Type 1 Diabetes Patients
Background and Purpose: The dapagliflozin’s safety profile in insulin-treated adult type-1 diabetes mellites (T1DM) patients remains poorly explored. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis compared the risk of all-cause side effects, study discontinuation of participants due to side effects, urinary tract infection (UTI), diabetic ketoacidosis, and hypoglycemia between dapagliflozi...
