چکیده

This paper describes the NUXMV symbolic model checker for finiteand infinite-state synchronous transition systems. NUXMV is the evolution of the NUSMV open source model checker. It builds on and extends NUSMV along two main directions. For finite-state systems it complements the basic verification techniques of NUSMV with state-of-the-art verification algorithms. For infinitestate systems, it extends the NUSMV language with new data types, namely Integers and Reals, and it provides advanced SMT-based model checking techniques. Besides extended functionalities, NUXMV has been optimized in terms of performance to be competitive with the state of the art. NUXMV has been used in several industrial projects as verification back-end, and it is the basis for several extensions to cope with requirements analysis, contract based design, model checking of hybrid systems, safety assessment, and software model checking.

Modular Transformation from AF3 to nuXmv

AutoFOCUS3 (AF3) [1] supports formal verification of its models using the nuXmv [2] model checker. This requires a model transformation from AF3 to nuXmv models. In this paper we present this behavior transformation. It is a two way transformation between a high-level and a low-level model involving intricate cases typical of behavior transformations whose solutions can therefore be beneficial ...

Formal Verification of Distributed Task Migration for Thermal Management in On-Chip Multi-core Systems Using nuXmv

With the growing interest in using distributed task migration algorithms for dynamic thermal management (DTM) in multi-core chips comes the challenge of their rigorous verification. Traditional analysis techniques, like simulation and emulation, cannot cope with the design complexity and distributed nature of such algorithms and thus compromise on the rigor and accuracy of the analysis results....

Applications of Fuzzy Program Graph in Symbolic Checking of Fuzzy Flip-Flops

All practical digital circuits are usually a mixture of combinational and sequential logic. Flip–flops are essential to sequential logic therefore fuzzy flip–flops are considered to be among the most essential topics of fuzzy digital circuit. The concept of fuzzy digital circuit is among the most interesting applications of fuzzy sets and logic due to the fact that if there has to be an ultimat...

Symbolic Model Checker for ACTL ?

We present SAM, a symbolic model checker for ACTL, the action-based version of CTL. SAM relies on implicit representations of Labeled Transition Systems (LTSs), the semantic domain for ACTL for-mulae, and uses symbolic manipulation algorithms. SAM has been realized by translating (networks of) LTSs and, possibly recursive, ACTL formulae into BSP (Boolean Symbolic Programming), a programming lan...

SMT Queries Decomposition and Caching in Semi-Symbolic Model Checking

In semi-symbolic (control-explicit data-symbolic) model checking the state-space explosion problem is fought by representing sets of states by first-order formulas over the bit-vector theory. In this model checking approach, most of the verification time is spent in an smt solver on deciding satisfiability of quantified queries, which represent equality of symbolic states. In this paper, we int...
