Cross domain dialogue modelling: an object-based approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
Advanced spoken dialogue systems incorporate functionalities such as mixed-initiative and cross-domain dialogues. In this paper an object-based approach to cross domain dialogue modelling is described in which service agents representing primary transaction types and support agents representing tasks such as eliciting payment details are selected as appropriate by a domain spotter. The domain spotter also deals with user-led focus shifts and selects the agent that is best placed to respond to the user’s utterances.

An Object-Oriented Model for the Design of Cross-Domain Dialogue Systems
Our approach to speech-based dialogue modelling aims to exploit, in the context of an object-oriented architecture, dialogue processing abilities that are common to many application domains. The coded objects that comprise the system contribute both recognition rules and processing rules (heuristics). A Domain Spotter supports the ability to move between domains and between individual skillsets...
متن کاملObjects Identification in Object-Oriented Software Development - A Taxonomy and Survey on Techniques
Analysis and design of object oriented is onemodern paradigms for developing a system. In this paradigm, there are several objects and each object plays some specific roles. Identifying objects (and classes) is one of the most important steps in the object-oriented paradigm. This paper makes a literature review over techniques to identify objects and then presents six taxonomies for them. The f...
متن کاملDeveloping extensible and reusable spoken dialogue components: an examination of the Queen's communicator
This paper presents an examination of the Queen’s Communicator, a cross-domain, mixed initiative spoken dialogue system, in terms of the system’s extensibility and reusability. The paper explores how an object-oriented design methodology can be used to define both high-level discourse objects and appropriate forms of relationship between discourse objects. The paper concludes that the applicati...
متن کاملObject-oriented modelling of spoken language dialogue systems
In this paper we show how established object modelling techniques can be used in the creation of spoken dialogue management systems. One of the motivations behind the particular approach adopted here is the observation that, in spoken human-to-human dialogues, certain skillsets and patterns of dialogue evolution are common to many different contexts; other dialogue skills and accompanying real-...
متن کاملInformation-Seeking Chat: Dialogue Management by Topic Structure
In this paper we describe the dialogue sub-genre “information-seeking chat”, which is distinguished from other kinds of information-seeking dialogue (e.g. travel information) by its more exploratory and less (single) task-oriented nature. We present an approach to modelling this kind of dialogue, based on the notion of weighted topic structures — a single data structure that represents both the...
