Ela Group Inverses for Matrices over a Bezout Domain∗

چکیده
Suppose R is a Bezout domain. In this paper, some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the group inverse for square matrix over R are given, the conditions for the existence of the group inverse of products of matrices are studied, and the equivalent conditions for reverse order law of group inverse of product of matrices are obtained. Also the existence and the representation of the group inverse for a class 2× 2 block matrices over R are studied, and some well known relative results are generalized.

Ela on a Group of Mixed-type Reverse-order Laws for Generalized Inverses of a Triple Matrix Product with Applications∗
Necessary and sufficient conditions are established for a group of mixed-type reverseorder laws for generalized inverses of a triple matrix product to hold. Some applications of the reverse-order laws to generalized inverses of the sum of two matrices are also given.
متن کاملEchelon Form
In this work we present the formalization of an algorithm to compute the Echelon Form of a matrix. We have proved its existence over Bezout domains and we have made it executable over Euclidean domains, such as Z and K[x]. This allows us to compute determinants, inverses and characteristic polynomials of matrices. The work is based on the HOL-Multivariate Analysis library, and on both the Gauss...
متن کاملEla New Conditions for the Reverse Order Laws for {1, 3} and {1, 4}-generalized Inverses
In this note, the reverse order laws for {1, 3} and {1, 4}-generalized inverses of matrices are considered. New necessary and sufficient conditions for (AB){1, 3} ⊆ B{1, 3} · A{1, 3} and (AB){1, 4} ⊆ B{1, 4} ·A{1, 4} are presented.
متن کاملEla a Note on Newton and Newton–like Inequalities for M–matrices and for Drazin Inverses of M–matrices∗
In a recent paper Holtz showed that M–matrices satisfy Newton’s inequalities and so do the inverses of nonsingular M–matrices. Since nonsingular M–matrices and their inverses display various types of monotonic behavior, monotonicity properties adapted for Newton’s inequalities are examined for nonsingular M–matrices and their inverses. In the second part of the paper the problem of whether Draz...
متن کاملEla Bidiagonal Decompositions, Minors and Applications
Abstract. Matrices, called ε-BD matrices, that have a bidiagonal decomposition satisfying some sign constraints are analyzed. The ε-BD matrices include all nonsingular totally positive matrices, as well as their matrices opposite in sign and their inverses. The signs of minors of ε-BD matrices are analyzed. The zero patterns of ε-BD matrices and their triangular factors are studied and applied ...
