چکیده

We present new parameterizations of vector and axial nucleon form factors. We maintain an excellent descriptions of the form factors at low momentum transfers, where the spatial structure of the nucleon is important, and use the Nachtman scaling variable ξ to relate elastic and inelastic form factors and impose quark-hadron duality constraints at high momentum transfers where the quark structure dominates. We use the new vector form factors to re-extract updated values of the axial form factor from neutrino experiments on deuterium. We obtain an updated world average value from νμd and pion electroproduction experiments of MA = 1.014±0.014 GeV/c. Our parameterizations are useful in modeling neutrino interactions at low energies (e.g. for neutrino oscillations experiments). The predictions for high momentum transfers can be tested in the next generation electron and neutrino scattering experiments. Nucleon Form Factors of the Isovector Axial - Vector Current

The theoretical and experimental status of the isovector axial-vector current form factors GA(q 2) and GP (q 2) of the nucleon is reviewed. We also describe a new calculation of these form factors in manifestly Lorentz-invariant chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) with the inclusion of axial-vector mesons as explicit degrees of freedom.

Nucleon form factors from quenched lattice QCD with domain wall fermions

We present a quenched lattice calculation of the weak nucleon form factors: vector (FV (q )), induced tensor (FT (q )), axial-vector (FA(q )) and induced pseudo-scalar (FP (q )) form factors. Our simulations are performed on three different lattice sizes L × T = 24 × 32, 16 × 32 and 12 × 32 with a lattice cutoff of a ≈ 1.3 GeV and light quark masses down to about 1/4 the strange quark mass (mπ ...

Nucleon axial charge and structure functions with domain wall fermions

Domain wall fermions (DWF) [1] have been successfully used by the RBC Collaboration for several applications [2]. In the baryon sector we had reported that DWF with Wilson gauge action in the quenched approximation can reproduce the first negative-parity excited state of nucleon [3] which defied theoretical attempts for a long time. Here we report the current status of our calculations on the n...

Nucleon form factors induced by isovector and isoscalar axial–vector currents in QCD

Using the most general form of the baryon current, nucleon form factors, induced by isovector and isoscalar axial–vector currents, are studied in the framework of light cone QCD sum rule approach. Comparison of our results on form factors with the existing results and lattice calculations are presented. Structure of the Roper Resonance with Diquark Correlations

We study electromagnetic properties of the nucleon and Roper resonance in a chiral quark-diquark model including two kinds of diquarks needed to describe the nucleon: scalar and axial-vector diquarks. The nucleon and Roper resonance are described as superpositions of two quark-diquark bound states of a quark and a scalar diquark and of a quark and an axial-vector diquark. Electromagnetic form f...
