چکیده
A stationary space-time (M,g) is a 4-manifold M with a smooth Lorentzian metric g, of signature (−,+,+,+), which has a smooth 1-parameter group G ≈ R of isometries whose orbits are time-like curves in M . We assume throughout the paper that M is a chronological space-time, i.e. M admits no closed time-like curves, c.f. §1.1 for further discussion. Let S be the orbit space of the action G. Then S is a smooth 3-manifold and the projection

On Explicit Solutions to the Stationary Axisymmetric Einstein-maxwell Equations Describing Dust Disks
We review explicit solutions to the stationary axisymmetric Einstein-Maxwell equations which can be interpreted as disks of charged dust. The disks of finite or infinite extension are infinitesimally thin and constitute a surface layer at the boundary of an electro-vacuum. The Einstein-Maxwell equations in the presence of one Killing vector are obtained by using a projection formalism. This lea...

A new class of exact solutions to the axisymmetric and stationary vacuum Einstein equations containing n arbitrary complex parameters and one arbitrary real solution of the axisymmetric three–dimensional Laplace equation is presented. The solutions are related to Jacobi's inversion problem for hyperelliptic Abelian integrals.

In this paper we consider the action of higher derivative gravity up to the second order terms in the scalars made from the Ricci scalar, Ricci and Riemann tensors. We use the Bach- Lanczos identity of the Weyl tensor in four dimensions and show that the solutions of 4-dimensional Einstein equations with cosmological constant term in vacuum, which are known as Einstein metrics, satisfy the fie...
