چکیده

In this paper, we describe a link between Markovian binary trees (MBT) and tree-like quasi-birth-anddeath processes (TLQBD) by associating a specific TLQBD to each MBT. The algorithms to compute the matrices Gk in the TLQBD then correspond to the algorithms calculating the extinction probability vector of the MBT. This parallelism leads to a new quadratic algorithm, based on the Newton iteration method, which converges to the extinction probability of an MBT. We also present a one-to-one correspondence between a general Markovian tree (GMT) and a scalar tree-structured M/G/1-type Markov chain. This allows us to prove the equivalence between the main result on the positive recurrence, null recurrence or transience of a scalar tree-structured M/G/1-type Markov chain and the criticality of a GMT. 2009 Elsevier B.V. Markov chains for random dynamical systems on p-adic trees

We study Markovian and non-Markovian behaviour of stochastic processes generated by random dynamical systems on p-adic trees. In fact, such systems can be interpreted as stochastic neural networks operating on branches of the homogeneous p-adic tree (where p > 1 is a prime number). Key-Words: Random dynamical systems, p-adic numbers, Markovian property

Financial Risk Modeling with Markova Chain

Investors use different approaches to select optimal portfolio. so, Optimal investment choices according to return can be interpreted in different models. The traditional approach to allocate portfolio selection called a mean - variance explains. Another approach is Markov chain. Markov chain is a random process without memory. This means that the conditional probability distribution of the nex...

Trickle-down Processes and Their Boundaries

It is possible to represent each of a number of Markov chains as an evolving sequence of connected subsets of a directed acyclic graph that grow in the following way: initially, all vertices of the graph are unoccupied, particles are fed in one-byone at a distinguished source vertex, successive particles proceed along directed edges according to an appropriate stochastic mechanism, and each par...

Some Limit Properties of the Harmonic Mean of Transition Probabilities for Markov Chains in Markovian Environments Indexed by Cayley’s Trees

A tree T is a graph which is connected and doesn’t contain any circuits. Given any two vertices α ̸ = β ∈ T, let αβ be the unique path connecting α and β. Define the graph distance d(α, β) to be the number of edges contained in the path αβ. Let T be an infinite tree with root 0.The set of all vertices with distance n from the root is called the nth generation of T, which is denoted by L n . We d...
