چکیده

A collective coordinate approach is applied toanalyze the effect of an ifsignal on the radiation emitted from a long Josephson junction. This system shows a variety of interesting nonlinear phenomena including chaos and hysteresis. Consideringthe excited localized nonlinear oscillation as an effective breather mode, we derive a nonlinear equation for the collective variable of the breather and analyze the origin of the hysteresis loop. We demonstrate that the hysteresis loop is induced by nonlinearity in the dynamics ofan effectiveac driven oscillator. Results obtained using this approach are in good agreement with direct numerical simulations.

Observation of individual Josephson vortices in YBa2Cu3O7Àd bicrystal grain-boundary junctions

The response of YBa2Cu3O72d bicrystal grain-boundary junctions to small dc magnetic fields ~0–10 Oe! has been probed with a low-power microwave ~rf! signal of 4.4 GHz in a microwave-resonator setup. Peaks in the microwave loss at certain dc magnetic fields are observed that result from individual Josephson vortices penetrating into the grain-boundary junctions under study. The system is modeled...

Modeling of Manufacturing of Field-Effect Heterotransistors without P-n-junctions to Optimize Decreasing their Dimensions

It has been recently shown that manufacturing p-n-junctions, field-effect and bipolar transistors, thyristors in a multilayer structure by diffusion or ion implantation with the optimization of dopant and/or radiation defects leads to increase the sharpness of p-n-junctions (both single p-n-junctions and p-n-junctions framework their system). Due to the optimization, one can also obtain increas...

Josephson Current For a Graphene Nanoribbon Using a Lattice Model

A tight binding approach based on the Bogoliubov-de Gennes approach has been used to calculate the DC Josephson current for a lattice model for S-GNR-S junctions , for short junctions with respect to superconducting coherence length. We calculate the phase, length, width and chemical potential dependence at the Josephson junction and discuss the similarities and differences with regard to the t...
