A Comparison of the Momentum Spectra in Deep Inelastic Scattering with the Modified Leading Logarithmic Approximation
نویسندگان
چکیده
The evolution of the logarithmic scaled energy spectra with energy scale, in the framework of the modified leading logarithmic approximation (MLLA), is investigated. The behaviour of the higher order moments of HERA deep inelastic scattering data are compared with the analytic predictions of MLLA. 1)H. H. Scaled Momentum Spectra in Deep Inelastic Scattering
Charged particle production has been studied in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) using an integrated luminosity of about 0.44 fb−1 taken with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The fragmentation properties of the struck quark in deep inelastic scattering have been investigated in the current fragmentation region of the Breit frame as a function of the exchanged boson virtuality Q. The measured evolution...
متن کاملMomentum Spectra in the Current Region of the Breit Frame in Deep Inelastic Scattering at HERA
The production of charged particles has been measured in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) with the ZEUS detector. The evolution of the moments of the scaled momenta distributions in Q 2 and x has been investigated in the current fragmentation region of the Breit frame. The results in the current region are compared to e + e − data and QCD analytical calculations. The results are consistent with ...
متن کاملJet Rates at Small x to Single - Logarithmic Accuracy ∗
We present predictions of jet rates in deep inelastic scattering at small x to leading-logarithmic order in x, including all sub-leading logarithms of Q/μ R where μR is the transverse momentum scale at which jets are resolved. We give explicit results for up to three jets, and a perturbative expansion for multi-jet rates and jet multiplicities.

Charged multiplicity distributions and the mean charged multiplicity have been investigated in inclusive neutral current deep inelastic ep scattering with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 38.6pb −1. The measurements were performed in the current region of the Breit frame, as well as in the current fragmentation region of the hadronic center-of-mass frame. The KNO-scal...
متن کاملDeep Inelastic Scattering with Tagged Photons at HERA
We calculate cross-sections for neutral current deep inelastic scattering at HERA with photon tagging. Both, the exact lowest-order cross-section and a leading logarithmic approximation of next-order corrections are calculated. The latter amounts to less than 20% in a large kinematical range. The integrations are performed numerically but without relying on Monte Carlo methods. Supported by the...
