چکیده

Recent works have shown the use of diffusion geometry for various pattern recognition applications, including non-rigid shape analysis. In this paper, we analyze two recent methods for shape similarity due to Rustamov and Mahmoudi & Sapiro. We show the relations between the methods and propose a new shape similarity criterion combining the advantages of both methods.

On a relation between shape recognition algorithms based on distributions of distances

Diffusion Geometry in Shape Analysis

Over the last decade, the intersections between 3D shape analysis and image processing have become a topic of increasing interest in the computer graphics community. Nevertheless, when attempting to apply current image analysis methods to 3D shapes (feature-based description, registration, recognition, indexing, etc.) one has to face fundamental differences between images and geometric objects....

Affine invariant non-rigid shape analysis

Shape recognition deals with the study geometric structures. Modern surface processing methods can cope with non-rigidity by measuring the lack of isometry, deal with similarity by multiplying the Euclidean arc-length by the Gaussian curvature, and manage equi-affine transformations by resorting to the special affine arc-length definition in classical affine geometry. Here, we propose a computa...

The simulation of novel annular shape on the Performance in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

In this article, one-phase and three dimensional computational fluid dynamics analysis was utilized to investigate the effect of annular field pattern of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) with different geometry on the performances and species distribution. This computational fluid dynamics code is used for solving the equation in single domain namely the flow field, the mass conserva...

Diffusion framework for geometric and photometric data fusion in non-rigid shape analysis

In this paper, we explore the use of the diffusion geometry framework for the fusion of geometric and photometric information in local and global shape descriptors. Our construction is based on the definition of a diffusion process on the shape manifold embedded into a high-dimensional space where the embedding coordinates represent the photometric information. Experimental results show that su...
