Combining finite and continuous solvers

چکیده
Combining efficiency with reliability within CP systems is one of the main concerns of CP developers. This paper presents a simple and efficient way to connect Choco and Ibex, two CP solvers respectively spe-cialised on finite and continuous domains. This enables to take advantage of the most recent advances of the continuous community within Choco while saving development and maintenance resources, hence ensuring a better software quality.

Viscous Models Comparison in Water Impact of Twin 2D Falling Wedges Simulation by Different Numerical Solvers
In this paper, symmetric water entry of twin wedges is investigated for deadrise angle of 30 degree. Three numerical simulation of a symmetric impact, considering rigid body dynamic equations of motion in two-phase flow is presented. The two-phase flow around the wedges is solved by Finite Element based on Finite Volume method (FEM-FVM) which is used in conjunction with Volume of Fluid (VOF) sc...
متن کاملStudent Project—Newton-Solver for Semirings
Compositional construction and manipulation of semirings. This package is motivated by static analyzers like AbsInt1. In AbsInt the complete lattice to be used for the abstract interpretation can be specified by the user by combining basic lattices, e.g., two power-set algebras on disjoint finite sets can be combined into their product lattice. In a similar fashion, we plan to give the user the...
متن کاملToward Adaptive Cooperation between Global and Local Solvers for Continuous Constraint Problems
Search methods for solving continuous constraint problems can be broadly divided into two categories: global search and local search methods. Global search methods spend a great amount of effort exploring the global search space, whereas local search methods focus on converging to local optimal solutions. Although these methods alone work well on many problems, there are many others that will b...
متن کاملParallel Adaptive Cartesian Upwind Methods for Shock-Driven Multiphysics Simulation
The multiphysics fluid-structure interaction simulation of shock-loaded thin-walled structures requires the dynamic coupling of a shock-capturing flow solver to a solid mechanics solver for large deformations. By combining a Cartesian embedded boundary approach with dynamic mesh adaptation a generic software framework for such flow solvers has been constructed that allows easy exchange of the s...
متن کاملOptimizing Sparse Matrix Assembly in Finite Element Solvers with One-Sided Communication
In parallel finite element solvers, sparse matrix assembly is often a bottleneck. Implemented using message passing, latency from message matching starts to limit performance as the number of cores increases. We here address this issue by using our own stack based representation of the sparse matrix, and a hybrid parallel programming model combining traditional message passing with one-sided co...
