Lipschitz Robustness of Timed I/O Systems

چکیده
We present the first study of robustness of systems that are both timed as well as reactive (I/O). We study the behavior of such timed I/O systems in the presence of uncertain inputs and formalize their robustness using the analytic notion of Lipschitz continuity: a timed I/O system is K-(Lipschitz) robust if the perturbation in its output is at most K times the perturbation in its input. We quantify input and output perturbation using similarity functions over timed words such as the timed version of the Manhattan distance and the Skorokhod distance. We consider two models of timed I/O systems — timed transducers and asynchronous sequential circuits. We show that K-robustness of timed transducers can be decided in polynomial space under certain conditions. For asynchronous sequential circuits, we reduce K-robustness w.r.t. timed Manhattan distances to K-robustness of discrete letter-toletter transducers and show PSpace-completeness of the problem.

Using Interval Petri Nets and Timed Automata for Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems (DES)
A discrete event system (DES) is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. Because of the special nature of these systems, different tools are currently used for their analysis, design and modeling. The main focus of this paper is the presentation of a new modeling approach of Discrete Event Systems. The ...

We first show that a bounded linear operator $ T $ on a real Banach space $ E $ is quasicompact (Riesz, respectively) if and only if $T': E_{mathbb{C}}longrightarrow E_{mathbb{C}}$ is quasicompact (Riesz, respectively), where the complex Banach space $E_{mathbb{C}}$ is a suitable complexification of $E$ and $T'$ is the complex linear operator on $E_{mathbb{C}}$ associated with $T$. Next, we pr...
متن کاملFrom I/O Automata to Timed I/O Automata
The model of timed I/O automata represents an extension of the model of I/O automata with the aim of reasoning about realtime systems. A number of case studies using timed I/O automata has been carried out, among them a treatment of the so-called Generalized Railroad Crossing (GRC). An already existing formalization of the metatheory of I/O automata within Isabelle/HOLCF allows for fully formal...
متن کاملRobust H_infinity Filter Design for Lipschitz Nonlinear Systems via Multiobjective Optimization
In this paper, a new method ofH∞ observer design for Lipschitz nonlinear systems is proposed in the form of an LMI optimization problem. The proposed observer has guaranteed decay rate (exponential convergence) and is robust against unknown exogenous disturbance. In addition, thanks to the linearity of the proposed LMIs in the admissible Lipschitz constant, it can be maximized via LMI optimizat...
