چکیده

For real numbers C, T 1 , T 2 , ... we find all solutions µ to the stochastic fixed point equation W j≥1 T j W j + C, where W, W 1 , W 2 , ... are independent real-valued random variables with distribution µ and means equality in distribution. All solutions are infinitely divisible. The set of solutions depends on the closed multiplicative subgroup of R * = R\{0} generated by the T j. If this group is continuous, i.e. R * itself or the positive halfline R > , then all nontrivial fixed points are stable laws. In the remaining (discrete) cases further periodic solutions arise. A key observation is that the Lévy measure of any fixed point is harmonic with respect to Λ = j≥1 δ T j , i.e. Γ = Γ ⋆ Λ, where ⋆ means multiplicative convolution. This will enable us to apply the powerful Choquet-Deny theorem.

¡div class=”moz-text-flowed” style=”font-family: -moz-fixed”¿ ON TWO CONJECTURES CONCERNING CONVEX CURVES

In this paper we recall two basic conjectures on the developables of convex projective curves, prove one of them and disprove the other in the first nontrivial case of curves in RP . Namely, we show that i) the tangent developable of any convex curve in RP 3 has degree 4 and ii) construct an example of 4 tangent lines to a convex curve in RP 3 such that no real line intersects all four of them....

Monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein is essential for the development of long-term reconstituting hematopoietic stem cells.

Monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein (MOZ), a transcriptional coactivator and member of the MYST family of histone acetyltransferases, is the target of recurrent translocations in acute myeloid leukemia. Since genes associated with translocations in leukemia are typically important regulators of blood formation, we investigated if Moz has a role in normal hematopoiesis. We generated mice carr...

moz regulates Hox expression and pharyngeal segmental identity in zebrafish.

In vertebrate embryos, streams of cranial neural crest (CNC) cells migrate to form segmental pharyngeal arches and differentiate into segment-specific parts of the facial skeleton. To identify genes involved in specifying segmental identity in the vertebrate head, we screened for mutations affecting cartilage patterning in the zebrafish larval pharynx. We present the positional cloning and init...

MOZ regulates B-cell progenitors and, consequently, Moz haploinsufficiency dramatically retards MYC-induced lymphoma development.

The histone acetyltransferase MOZ (MYST3, KAT6A) is the target of recurrent chromosomal translocations fusing the MOZ gene to CBP, p300, NCOA3, or TIF2 in particularly aggressive cases of acute myeloid leukemia. In this study, we report the role of wild-type MOZ in regulating B-cell progenitor proliferation and hematopoietic malignancy. In the Eμ-Myc model of aggressive pre-B/B-cell lymphoma, t...

Acute mixed lineage leukemia with an inv(8)(p11q13) resulting in fusion of the genes for MOZ and TIF2.

Chromosomal abnormalities in acute leukemia have led to the discovery of many genes involved in normal hematopoiesis and in malignant transformation. We have identified the fusion partners in an inv(8)(p11q13) from a patient with acute mixed lineage leukemia. We show by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis, Southern blotting, and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT...
