Sensor Ontology Integration for the Knowledge Management for Distributed-Tracking (KMDT) Program

چکیده
This paper describes Knowledge Management for Distributed-Tracking (KMDT), which is an ongoing research and development project to explore methods to improve military functions in the battle space, such as command, control, and decision support. It features a hypothetical use-case scenario that shows how knowledge-management technologies, such as ontologies and intelligent agents, can be used to improve battle-space awareness and the decision-making process in command centers with respect to distributed tracking and threat identification of platforms. The KMDT sensor ontology is based partly on concepts described in the MIL-STD-2525B and STANAG 4420 specifications, which define symbology to represent level-one data-fusion information, such as the classification of platforms and targets in the battle space. The paper includes a discussion of ontologyintegration examples of this with this symbology as it relates to fusion and tracking. Topics: Autonomous agents, command and control, decision support, knowledge management, MILSTD-2525B, modeling and simulation, ontology, sensors, STANAG 4420, symbols, tracking

متن کاملMathematical Analysis of Optimal Tracking Interval Management for Power Efficient Target Tracking Wireless Sensor Networks
In this paper, we study the problem of power efficient tracking interval management for distributed target tracking wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We first analyze the performance of a distributed target tracking network with one moving object, using a quantitative mathematical analysis. We show that previously proposed algorithms are efficient only for constant average velocity objects howev...
متن کاملTracking performance of incremental LMS algorithm over adaptive distributed sensor networks
in this paper we focus on the tracking performance of incremental adaptive LMS algorithm in an adaptive network. For this reason we consider the unknown weight vector to be a time varying sequence. First we analyze the performance of network in tracking a time varying weight vector and then we explain the estimation of Rayleigh fading channel through a random walk model. Closed form relations a...
