Low-complexity noise-resilient recovery of phase and amplitude from defocused intensity images

A low-complexity augmented Kalman filter is proposed to efficiently recover the phase from a series of noisy intensity images. The proposed method is robust to noise, has low complexity, and may enable real-time phase recovery. © 2012 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: 100.5070, 100.3010.
