چکیده

A mathematically simple example of a high-dimensional (many-species) Lotka-Volterra model that exhibits spatiotemporal chaos in one spatial dimension is described. The model consists of a closed ring of identical agents, each competing for fixed finite resources with two of its four nearest neighbors. The model is prototypical of more complicated models in its quasiperiodic route to chaos (including attracting 3-tori), Corresponding author. Chaotic Interactions of Self-replicating RNA

A general system of high-order differential equations describing complex dynamics of replicating biomolecules is given. Symmetry relations and coordinate transformations of general replication systems leading to topologically equivalent systems are derived. Three chaotic attractors observed in Lotka-Volterra equations of dimension n = 3 are shown to represent three cross-sections of one and the...

A subthreshold Analog MOS Circuit for Lotka-volterra Chaotic oscillator

We fabricated an analog integrated circuit (IC) that implements the Lotka–Volterra (LV) chaotic oscillator presented by Mimura and Kan-on [1986]. The LV system describes periodic or chaotic behaviors in prey–predator systems in simple mathematical form, and is suitable for analog IC implementation [Asai et al., 2003]. The proposed circuit consists of a small number of metaloxide-semiconductor f...

An Analysis on The Lotka-Volterra Food Chain Model: Stability

The food chain refers to a natural system by which energy is transmitted from one organism to another. In fact, a food chain consists of producers, consumers and decomposition. Presence of complex food web increase the stability of the ecosystem. Classical food chain theory arises from Lotka-Volterra model. In the present paper, the dynamics behavior of three level food chain is studied. A syst...

M ar 2 00 4 Nonmonotonic Behavior of Spatiotemporal Pattern Formation in a Noisy Lotka - Volterra System ∗

The noise-induced pattern formation in a population dynamical model of three interacting species in the coexistence regime is investigated. A coupled map lattice of Lotka-Volterra equations in the presence of multi-plicative noise is used to analyze the spatiotemporal evolution. The spatial correlation of the species concentration as a function of time and of the noise intensity is investigated...

Permanency and Asymptotic Behavior of The Generalized Lotka-Volterra Food Chain System

In the present paper a generalized Lotka-Volterra food chain system has been studied and also its dynamic behavior such as locally asymptotic stability has been analyzed in case of existing interspecies competition. Furthermore, it has been shown that the said system is permanent (in the sense of boundedness and uniformly persistent). Finally, it is proved that the nontrivial equilibrium point...
