A product design ontology for enhancing shape processing in design workflows
نویسندگان
چکیده
Effective and efficient information management and knowledge sharing has become an essential part of more and more professional tasks in the Product Development Process. Among the varius Knowledge Management technologies, ontologies offer new possibilities for representing, handling and retrieving product related knowledge, and for online collaboration. We conceived a Product Design Ontology (PDO) which especially addresses researchers in industrial product design and engineering analysis who need to share shape data and to develop software tools. In particular, we formalised the task-specific information associated to a shape, and the functionality and usage of shape processing methods in specific tasks of the design workflow. The PDO, thanks to the ontologydriven metadata on shapes and tools, may be also useful in industry on the one hand for training and for retrieving shape-related information, on the other hand for supporting benchmarking of processing tools and gathering the knowledge about shape processing workflows. 1 !(!) A Novel Design of Quaternary Inverter Gate Based on GNRFET
This paper presents a novel design of quaternary logic gates using graphene nanoribbon field effect transistors (GNRFETs). GNRFETs are the alternative devices for digital circuit design due to their superior carrier-transport properties and potential for large-scale processing. In addition, Multiple-valued logic (MVL) is a promising alternative to the conventional binary logic design. Sa...
متن کاملEnhancing the TURF Framework with a Workflow Ontology
The TURF Framework enables usability analysts evaluate EHRs by analyzing work tasks, users, representations, and functionality. Currently the TURF framework does not have a focus on evaluating clinical workflows across multiple tasks or across individuals . Because clinical workflows are vital to the successful implementation of an EHR, this study will augment the capabilities of the TURF usabi...

متن کاملA Pattern-Based Ontology for Describing Publishing Workflows
In this paper we introduce the Publishing Workflow Ontology (PWO), i.e., an OWL 2 DL ontology for the description of generic workflows that is particularly suitable for formalising typical publishing processes such as the publication of articles in journals. We support the presentation with a discussion of all the ontology design patterns that have been reused for modelling the main characteris...
