ARG: Virtual Tool to Teaching Argumentation Theory
نویسندگان
چکیده
Researchers look for new virtual instruments that can improve and maximize traditional forms of teaching and learning. In this paper, we present the ARG system, a virtual tool developed to help the teaching/learning process in argumentation theory, especially in the field of Law. ARG was developed based on Araucaria by Reed and Rowe, Room 5 by Ronald P. Loui, as well on systems such as Argue!-System and ArguMed by Bart Verheij. ARG is a platform for online collaboration and applies the theory of Stephen Toulmin to produce arguments that are more concise, precise, minimally structured and more resistant to criticism. 1998 ACM Subject Classification K.3.1 Computer Uses in Education.

Stratified Labelings for Abstract Argumentation (Preliminary Report)
argumentation frameworks [Dun95] take a very simple view on argumentation as they do not presuppose any internal structure of an argument. Abstract argumentation frameworks only consider the interactions of arguments by means of an attack relation between arguments. Definition 1 (Abstract Argumentation Framework). An abstract argumentation framework AF is a tuple AF = (Arg,→) where Arg is a set...

متن کاملThe conformity barriers of virtual technologies in higher education according to the masters' personal epistemology: a case study
The present study covered the conformity barriers of virtual technologies in higher education. It was a qualitative research and population composed of the masters in Kordistan university. The instrument was a semi-structured questionnaire and analyzed based on ground theory through NVIVO software. The most significant conditional causes for interaction were masters' imposed and authoritarian ...

متن کاملClassical Logic, Argumentation and Dialectic
A well studied instantiation of Dung’s abstract theory of argumentation yields argumentation-based characterisations of non-monotonic inference over possibly inconsistent sets of classical formulae. This provides for single-agent reasoning in terms of argument and counter-argument, and distributed non-monotonic reasoning in the form of dialogues between computational and or human agents. Howeve...
