چکیده

This research develops and executes a methodology for creating generic airports for fleet-level noise modeling in support of a generic framework for rapid fleet-level environmental analysis to reduce model complexity and runtime. Generic airports are comprised of generic runways, consisting of operational characteristics, and generic infrastructures, consisting of geometric characteristics. Groupings and validations were performed on both components and the final set of generic airports. The results show that airports can be grouped by their operational and geometric characteristics separately, and that these groupings can be leveraged to infer fleet-level airport noise trends of the generic class onto specific airports. A New Model for Fleet Assignment Problem, Case Study of Iran Air Network at Vision 2036

The fleet assignment problem (FAP) assigns the type of airplane at each flight segment. Since airplane is an expensive resource, poor fleet assignment can cause a great increase in costs of airlines. There are so many consideration which should be tackled in formulation of a FAP problem, especially the parameters regarding to the airplanes. This paper presents a novel, mixed integer programing ...

Airport Capacity Extension, Fleet Investment, and Optimal Aircraft Scheduling in a Four-Level Market Model: On the Effects of Market Regulations

In this paper we present a four-level market model that accounts for airport capacity extension, fleet investment, aircraft scheduling, and ticket trade. In particular, budget-constrained airports decide on the first level on their optimal runway capacity extension and on a corresponding airport charge. Airports anticipate optimal long-term fleet investment of airlines on the second level, opti...

Future Aircraft Fuel Efficiencies

A review has been performed of the current method of forecasting CO2 emissions fromaircraft using UK airports. The current approach uses the CORINAIR Guidebook data tocalculate the fuel burn by individual aircraft on each route. The assessment has coveredthe mapping of aircraft types to those in CORINAIR, the accuracy of the data (bycomparison with data from the AERO2k greenhous...

Impact Analysis on Throughput A1r Fleet Resources Using Simulation

This paper presents a modeling approach to determine the impact on throughput on air fleet resources on the operation of airports. The primary constraints for this analysis are i) adherence to schedules, ii) optimization of resource utilization and iii) reduction of operational costs. Any plan for an impact analysis on throughput on air fleet resources on the operation of airports has to take i...

Analysis of Emmissions Inventory for “single-engine Taxi-out” Operations

Stringent federal and state programs along with technology innovation have resulted in declining emissions from static sources (e.g. power plants) and are projected to meet national quality standards by 2025. The same cannot be said for mobile sources of emissions from flight operations at airports. In the absence changes in airport operations, the forecast rates of growth in flight operations ...
