Input-Output Finite-Time Stability

چکیده
This paper introduces the extension of FiniteTime Stability (FTS) to the input-output case, namely the Input-Output FTS (IO-FTS). The main differences between classic IO stability and IO-FTS are that the latter involves signals defined over a finite time interval, does not necessarily require the inputs and outputs to belong to the same class of signals, and that quantitative bounds on both inputs and outputs must be specified. This paper revises some recent results on IO-FTS, both in the context of linear systems and in the context of switching systems. In the final example the proposed methodology is used to minimize the maximum displacement and velocity of a building subject to an earthquake of given magnitude.

Design of a Novel Framework to Control Nonlinear Affine Systems Based on Fast Terminal Sliding-Mode Controller
In this paper, a novel approach for finite-time stabilization of uncertain affine systems is proposed. In the proposed approach, a fast terminal sliding mode (FTSM) controller is designed, based on the input-output feedback linearization of the nonlinear system with considering its internal dynamics. One of the main advantages of the proposed approach is that only the outputs and external state...
متن کاملFinite Time Terminal Synergetic Controller for Nonlinear Helicopter Model
In this paper, an almost new control approach called terminal synergetic control which works based on user defined manifold is applied to a nonlinear helicopter model. Stability analysis is convestigated using Lyapunov stability theory. Synergetic controller is applied to this nonlinear fifth-order helicopter model to control height and angle. Simulation results showed that it has faster and sm...
متن کاملFinite-Time Input-to-State Stability and Applications to Finite-Time Control Design
This paper extends the well-known concept, input-to-state stability (ISS), to finitetime control problems. In other words, a new concept, finite-time input-to-state stability (FTISS), along with related concepts such as finite-time input-output stability and finite-time small-gain theorems, is discussed, and then is applied to both the finite-time stability analysis and the finite-time stabiliz...
متن کاملGlobal Finite Time Synchronization of Two Nonlinear Chaotic Gyros Using High Order Sliding Mode Control
In this paper, under the existence of system uncertainties, external disturbances, and input nonlinearity, global finite time synchronization between two identical attractors which belong to a class of second-order chaotic nonlinear gyros are achieved by considering a method of continuous smooth second-order sliding mode control (HOAMSC). It is proved that the proposed controller is robust to m...
