Bipolar AIE-active luminogens comprised of an oxadiazole core and terminal TPE moieties as a new type of host for doped electroluminescence.

چکیده

For the first time, two bipolar AIE-active luminogens (Oxa-pTPE and Oxa-mTPE) constructed from tetraphenylethene and oxadiazole were utilized as fluorescence host materials in sky-blue doped OLEDs and exhibited high efficiencies with L(max), η(C,max), η(P,max) and η(ext,max) of 10,070 cd m(-2), 9.79 cd A(-1), 9.92 Im W(-1) and 5.0%, respectively, broadening the scope for the utilization of AIE materials in the optoelectronic field.

Aggregation-enhanced emission and efficient electroluminescence of tetraphenylethene-cored luminogens.

A new design of luminescent materials by decorating a tetraphenylethene core with four aromatic chromophores is proposed. The generated luminogens exhibit aggregation-enhanced emission and excellent solid-state fluorescence efficiency (93-99%). Efficient non-doped OLEDs based on them afford remarkable efficiencies up to 11 cd A(-1).

Two bifunctional red AIE luminogens with efficient solid-state emission and good hole-transporting characteristics are reported. Efficient non-doped OLEDs are fabricated with high external quantum efficiencies of up to 3.9%. Bilayer EL devices using them as both EMLs and HTLs are fabricated with good performances.
