Natural Transformations. Discrete Categories

چکیده

We present well known concepts of category theory: natural transofmations and functor categories, and prove propositions related to. Because of the formalization it proved to be convenient to introduce some auxiliary notions, for instance: transformations. We mean by a transformation of a functor F to a functor G, both covariant functors from A to B, a function mapping the objects of A to the morphisms of B and assigning to an object a of A an element of Hom(F (a),G(a)). The material included roughly corresponds to that presented on pages 18,129–130,137–138 of the monography ([10]). We also introduce discrete categories and prove some propositions to illustrate the concepts introduced.

On descent for coalgebras and type transformations

We find a criterion for a morphism of coalgebras over a Barr-exact category to be effective descent and determine (effective) descent morphisms for coalgebras over toposes in some cases. Also, we study some exactness properties of endofunctors of arbitrary categories in connection with natural transformations between them as well as those of functors that these transformations induce between co...

$omega$-Operads of coendomorphisms and fractal $omega$-operads for higher structures

In this article we introduce the notion of textit{Fractal $omega$-operad} emerging from  a natural $omega$-operad associated to any coglobular object in the category of higher operads in Batanin's sense, which in fact is a coendomorphism $omega$-operads. We have in mind coglobular object of higher operads which algebras are kind of higher transformations. It follows that this natural $omeg...

Transformations of Discrete Closure Systems

Discrete systems such as sets, monoids, groups are familiar categories. The internal structure of the latter two is defined by an algebraic operator. In this paper we concentrate on discrete systems that are characterized by unary operators; these include choice operators σ, encountered in economics and social theory, and closure operators φ, encountered in discrete geometry and data mining. Be...

Steps toward the weak higher category of weak higher categories in the globular setting

We start this article by rebuilding higher operads of weak higher transformations, and correct those in cite{Cambat}. As in cite{Cambat} we propose an operadic approach for weak higher $n$-transformations, for each $ninmathbb{N}$, where such weak higher $n$-transformations are seen as algebras for specific contractible higher operads. The last chapter of this article asserts that, up to precise...
