549 INTRODUCTION Ultrasonography (US) is the imaging modality of choice for evaluating scrotal abnormalities. Scrotal swellings are frequently seen in children and adolescents and narrowing differential diagnosis is important in assisting the referring clinicians and enhancing their efficiency in coming to a diagnosis. The spectrum ranges from incidental to pathological findings and can be divided into chronic (or at least subacute) and acute; painless and painful.
