چکیده

Signaling of the TNF receptor superfamily member CD27 activates costimulatory pathways to elicit Tand B-cell responses. CD27 signaling is regulated by the expression of its ligand CD70 on subsets of dendritic cells and lymphocytes. Here,we analyzed the role of theCD27–CD70 interaction in the immunologic control of solid tumors in Cd27-deficient mice. In tumor-bearing wild-type mice, the CD27–CD70 interaction increased the frequency of regulatory T cells (Tregs), reduced tumor-specific T-cell responses, increased angiogenesis, and promoted tumor growth. CD27 signaling reduced apoptosis of Tregs in vivo and induced CD4þ effector T cells (Teffs) to produce interleukin-2, a key survival factor for Tregs. Consequently, the frequency of Tregs and growthof solid tumorswere reduced in Cd27-deficient mice or in wild-type mice treated with monoclonal antibody to block CD27 signaling. Our findings, therefore, provide a novel mechanism by which the adaptive immune system enhances tumor growth and may offer an attractive strategy to treat solid tumors. Induction of T Regulatory Subsets from Naïve CD4+ T Cells after Exposure to Breast Cancer Adipose Derived Stem Cells

Background: Adipose derived stem cells (ASCs) provoke the accumulation and expansion of regulatory T cells, leading to the modulation of immune responses in tumor microenvironment. Objective: To assess the effect of tumoral ASCs on the trend of regulatory T cells differentiation. Methods: Peripheral blood naïve CD4+ T cells were co-cultured with ASCs derived from breast cancer or normal breast ...

A Glance into Cancer Stem Cells

The presence of stem cells in leukemia and solid tumors has been demonstrated in recent decades. Cancer stem cells have the potency of tumorigenesis; furthermore, they have the ability of self-renewing and differentiation like other stem cells. They also play important role in the process of tumor invasion and metastasis. Several studies have been performed to discover the spe...

Effects of Inflammatory Cytokine Tumor Necrosis Factor-α on Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell Gene Expression: A Mechanism for Liver Regeneration

Introduction  Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) which is produced in abundance in the normal adult liver, is deeply involved in hepatocyte survival, growth, and differentiation during liver development. IGF-I plays the roles via the receptor (IGF-IR) signaling pathway. IGF-IR unlike IGF-I is expressed strongly in the developing liver, but much more weakly in adults. Objective:  We hypothesi...

بررسی سلول‌های T تنظیمی CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ در محیط تومور کارسینوم مجرایی مهاجم پستان و گروه شاهد

Aim and Background: it seems that population of regulatory T cells increases in many malignancies leading to suppression of effector immune responses and thereby to progression of the disease. We aimed to assess infiltration of the regulatory T cells into tumor environment in women with breast carcinoma. Methods: in a control-case study, 9 malignant tumor tissues from invasive intraductal breas...
