چکیده

A 29‐year‐old male patient presented with decreased vision for 2 years following electrocution injury (electric cables with 25000 volts). No significant family or ocular history was elicited. He was diagnosed to have pigmentary retinopathy in both eyes clinically. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 6/12, N8 in the right eye and 6/18, N8 in the left eye. Anterior segment examination revealed early posterior subcapsular lens opacities. Fundus examination [Figure 1] showed optic disc pallor, presence of chorioretinal atrophy surrounding Multimodal Imaging after Electric Shock Retinopathy

The effect of oral acetazolamide on cystoid macular edema in hydroxychloroquine retinopathy: a case report

BACKGROUND Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) retinopathy can accompany other retinal complications such as cystoid macular edema (CME), which leads to central visual loss. We report a case of CME with HCQ retinopathy that improved with the use of oral acetazolamide, and discussed the possible mechanisms of CME in HCQ retinopathy using multimodal imaging modalities. CASE PRESENTATION A 62-year-old pati...

Acute zonal occult outer retinopathy: a classification based on multimodal imaging.

IMPORTANCE We describe the multimodal imaging in a group of patients showing a distinct clinical entity that best represents acute zonal occult outer retinopathy (AZOOR). OBJECTIVE To propose a classification of AZOOR based on clinical fundus and multimodal imaging. DESIGN, SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS A retrospective review of patients diagnosed as having AZOOR at 2 centers. After reviewing mo...

Traumatic retinopathy presenting as acute macular neuroretinopathy.

AIM Traumatic retinopathy presenting as acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMNR) is an uncommon disease causing paracentral scotomas after indirect trauma. METHODS We report on five patients (six eyes) with AMNR with a temporary reduction of visual acuity and persistent paracentral scotomas after indirect trauma. The findings were documented using multimodal imaging and the follow-up was up to 3...

Three-dimensional rotational angiography fused with multimodal imaging modalities for targeted endomyocardial injections in the ischaemic heart.

AIM Biological therapies for ischaemic heart disease require efficient, safe, and affordable intramyocardial delivery. Integration of multiple imaging modalities within the fluoroscopy framework can provide valuable information to guide these procedures. We compared an anatomo-electric method (LARCA) with a non-fluoroscopic electromechanical mapping system (NOGA(®)). LARCA integrates selective ...
