چکیده
conclusions according to our result, 1525g/a and 1595c/t were in strong linkage disequilibrium and the polymorphisms of the trail gene in the 3’ utr region were not associated with the outcome of hbv infection. results our data showed that genotypes 1525g/a and 1595c/t were in complete linkage disequilibrium and the genotype frequencies at the two positions were the same. no significant differences in frequencies of genotype and alleles at positions 1525g/a and 1595c/t were observed between all the three groups (p value > 0.05). patients and methods polymerase chain reaction-based restriction fragment length polymorphism (pcr–rflp) was applied to genotype trail polymorphisms at positions 1525g/a and 1595c/t. to evaluate the trail gene polymorphism in the 3’ utr region at position 1525g/a and 1595c/t, 147 patients with hbv infection were divided into three different groups of chronic hepatitis (n = 52), cirrhosis (n = 33), and carrier (n = 62) and there was a group of 101 healthy controls. objectives this study was carried out to determine the role of the trail gene polymorphisms in clinical outcome of hbv infection. background tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (trail) is an apoptotic molecule with a key role in the apoptosis of tumors and virus-infected cells. the association of 1525g/a and 1595c/t polymorphisms in the region of 3’ utr on the trail gene has been shown in many cancers and diseases. polymorphism at the positions of 1525g/a and 1595c/t might influence the clearance of hepatitis b virus (hbv).

Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) has been reported to specifically kill malignant cells but to be relatively nontoxic to normal cells. To evaluate the antitumor activity and therapeutic value of the TRAIL gene, we constructed adenoviral vectors expressing the human TRAIL gene and transferred them into malignant cells in vitro and tumors in vivo. The in vitro trans...

Severe human disease associated with influenza A H5N1 virus was first detected in Hong Kong in 1997. Its recent reemergence in Asia and high associated mortality highlight the need to understand its pathogenesis. We investigated the roles of death receptor ligands (DRLs) in H5N1 infection. Significant up-regulation of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and TNF...

PURPOSE AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of combined treatment with tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and cisplatin in human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. HNSCC-6 cells were treated with 0.1-1 micro g/ml TRAIL and/or 1-10 micro g/ml cisplatin for 24 h. RESULTS TRAIL alone or cisplatin alone caused minimal cytoto...
متن کاملRoscovitine sensitizes leukemia and lymphoma cells to tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand-induced apoptosis.
Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a death ligand with selective antitumor activity. However, many primary tumors are TRAIL resistant. Previous studies reported that roscovitine, a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, sensitized various solid cancer cells to TRAIL. We show that roscovitine and TRAIL demonstrate synergistic cytotoxicity in hematologic malignant cell...
متن کاملThree polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and hepatitis B virus related hepatocellular carcinoma
BACKGROUND To assess the association between tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) G308A, G238A and C863T polymorphisms and hepatitis B virus related hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-HCC) susceptibility. METHODS We interrogated the databases of Pubmed, Sciencedirect and Viley online library up to March 8, 2016. Odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were calculated i...
