چکیده
conclusions although different source of p. aeruginosa may involve in patient colonization, genetically related strains were isolated from different wards and or the same ward of the hospital. our results pointed to the restriction of currently used antibiotics in studied hospital. we hope that our results cast light on the control and transmission of the infection in the investigated hospital. materials and methods out of 150 analyzed samples, 54 p. aeruginosa isolates were recovered and were subjected to antibiotic resistance patterns and genetic diversity determination by kirby-bauer’s disk diffusion method and rapd-pcr, respectively. results the highest percentage of resistance was observed against ceftazidime and imipenem with 30 (55.6%) isolates; meanwhile all isolates were sensitive to polymyxin b. twenty-eight (51.8%) isolates revealed resistance to all applied antibiotics. rapd-pcr (random amplified polymorphic dna- polymerase chain reaction) results showed 54 unique genotypes, which were divided into 39 clusters. objectives the purpose of the current study was to determine the antibiotic susceptibility profiles and genetic relatedness in p. aeruginosa isolated from patients admitted to a referral hospital in isfahan, iran. background pseudomonas aeruginosa is a well-known opportunistic pathogen, which affects hospitalized patients in different wards due to its natural resistance to drugs.

متن کاملCarbapenem and Fluoroquinolone Resistance in Multidrug Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolates from Al-Zahra Hospital, Isfahan, Iran
Introduction: The major resistance mechanisms of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to fluoroquinolones and carbapenems are associated with the mutations in the genes gyrA and oprD encoding type II topoisomerases (DNA gyrase) and OprD porin, respectively. Method: In this cross-sectional study, sixty five clinical samples were collected from patients hospitalized in Al-Zahra Hospital of Isfahan, Iran. Susce...

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Type of Bacterial Isolates and Antibiotic Resistance Patterns from Clinical Specimens in Yazd, Iran
Background and Aims: Due to a wide variety of causes, various bacteria can acquire resistance to antibiotics. This study investigated the antibiotic susceptibility patterns of the etiologic bacterial agents of various infections in patients referred to three hospitals in Yazd city, Iran. Materials and Methods: A total of 336 clinical specimens including wound discharge, sputum, blood, bronchia...

Abstract Background and Objective: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive genetic disease and Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most common bacteria colonized in CF patients. Growing resistance of this bacterium to antibiotics now a day is a challenge of controlling infection in CF patient. In this study colonization of CF patients with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and antibiotic suscep...
متن کاملEvaluation of Antibiotic Resistance Patterns of Clinical Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolates from Educational Hospitals in Zahedan, Iran
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: The resistance of gram-negative bacteria to antibiotics has become a serious problem, which imposes a significant increase in treatment costs. Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important nosocomial pathogen from the Enterobacteriaceae family. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency and pattern of antibiotic resistance in K. pneumoniae strains isolat...
