چکیده

background: vascular endothelial growth factor (vegf) has a key role in angiogene-sis and in transplantation. the level of vegf is related to the differences in the dna sequence of its promoter region. objectives: in this study, the association between the combination of vegf –1154 g and –2578 c alleles and vegf production by lps-stimulated pbmcs was investigated. in addition; the relationship between vegf poly-morphisms and the influence of tnf-α and il-4 on vegf production was studied. methods: vegf –1154 g/a and –2578 c/a were detected using arms-pcr. to de-termine the impact of combinations of these two polymorphisms on vegf production; pbmcs were stimulated by lps and vegf production was measured by elisa. re-sults: the combinations of –1154 gg/-2578 cc and –1154 gg/-2578 ca were signifi-cantly associated with higher vegf production (p

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Production is Regulated by Gene Polymorphisms

In addition; the relationship ...

Different Polymorphisms of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Gene in Patients with Pre-Eclampsia among The Iranian Women Population

Background: The aim of this retrospective study is to investigate the cumulative live birth rate (CLBR) following one or more completed in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles (up to 6 cycles) stratified by maternal age and type of infertility. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, five hundred forty-seven women who received 736 fresh ovarian stimulation/embryo transfer cycles between...

Vascular endothelial growth factor gene polymorphisms and pre-eclampsia.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays a crucial role in physiological vasculogenesis and vascular permeability and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia. Our present study was undertaken to identify associations between three functional VEGF gene polymorphisms, linked with altered VEGF gene responsiveness, and pre-eclampsia. The study involved 42 pre-eclamptic and 7...

Molecular Study of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Gene in Iranian Patients after Myocardial Infarction

Background: Stimulation of collateral artery growth (arteriogenesis) and/or capillary network growth (angiogenesis) would be beneficial to the patients with myocardial infarction. To understand the central role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in biological angiogenesis, we performed molecular analysis of the VEGF gene in patients afflicted with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Me...

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor from Embryonic Status to Cardiovascular Pathology

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a multifunctional cytokine with distinct functions in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, vascular permeability, and hematopoiesis. VEGF is a highly conserved, disulfide-bonded dimeric glycoprotein of 34 to 45 kDa produced by several cell types including fibroblasts, neutrophils, endothelial cells, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells, particularly T ...
