phylogenetic study of haemonchus species from iran based on morpho-molecular characterization.

چکیده
background : haemonchosis has a negative effect on the farming industry throughout the world, especially in the tropic and sub-tropic countries. the present study was carried out to differentiate haemonchus species from its main hosts in iran, including sheep, goat and camel. methods: the identification took place based on the morphometrics of the spic-ules and molecular characters. two hundred seventy adult male nematodes were collected from the abomasums of different ruminants (90 samples from each ani-mal) at the slaughterhouses from different localities in iran. samples were morpho-logically identified according to the spicules’ morphometric measurements. in the section on molecular study, 10 samples of each haemonchus isolates were genetically examined. a simple pcr-restriction fragment length polymorphism (pcr-rflp) assay of the second internal transcribed spacer of ribosomal dna (its2-rdna) were described to confirm the pcr results. results: pcr-rflp profile obtained from the restriction enzyme hpa1 in h. con-tortus and h. longistipes indicated 1 (278 bp) and 2 (113 and 135 bp) different frag-ments, respectively. the morphological parameters clearly distinguish h. contortus from h. longistipes. moreover, regarding the its2-rdna, sequences of 295 bp and 314 bp were obtained from h. contortus and h. longistipes, respectively. conclusion: the genotypic results are in agreement with the phenotypic findings of both species.

متن کاملMolecular characterization of environmental Cladosporium species isolated from Iran
Background and Purpose: Cladosporium species are ubiquitous, saprobic, dematiaceous fungi, only infrequently associated with human and animal opportunisticinfections. Materials and Methods: Airborne samples were collected using the settle plate method, and soil samples were obtained from a depth of 5-10 cm of the superficial soil layer. Samples were cultured on Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA) pla...
متن کاملMolecular Characterization of Aureobasidium Species in Iran
Background: Members of this genus Aureobasidium are ubiquitous microorganisms which can be isolated from wide ranges of substrates such as plant materials (phyllosphere, plant debris, bark, roots, fruits and wood), soil, dead wood, air, and as rare etiologic agent of pheohyphomycosis, keratomycosis, septicemia, peritoneal sepsis, and dermatological infections in human. Very little is known on t...

Molecular Characterization and Phylogenetic Analysis of the G6 and G10 Genotypes of Bovine Rotaviruses from Iran
Background and Aims: Rotaviruses are the main cause of gastroenteritis in the young of human and a variety of animals in the world. Rotavirus G6 and G10 are the most prevalent genotypes in cattle worldwide, but are also found in human with possible origination from animals. Materials and Methods: In this work, we have detected the G6 and G10 genotypes of bovine rotaviruses isolated from di...
متن کاملPhylogenetic study of some Aporrectodea species based on molecular markers
The Nicodrilus genus is not accepted in the nomenclature according to ICZN; Aporrectodea term is used. However, according to Bouché, Aporrectodea and Allolobophora genera are not homogeneous and are supposed as polyphyletic genera. The aim is to study the phylogenetic structure of Aporrectodea genus in order to verify its cladistic nature and its taxonomical validity. In this work, five species...
