چکیده

the present work describes a selective, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of cobalt using the adsorptive differential pulse voltammetry technique. the method is based on the accumulation of co(ii) complex with 2-aminocyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylic acid on a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by measurement of the current of the adsorbed complex. the effects of experimental parameters on the peak current were investigated. the current was linear from 0.010 to 0.150 ?g/ml of co(ii), with detection limit of 1.5 ng/ml. the relative standard deviation for ten replicate analyses of 0.02 and 0.06 ?g/ml co(ii) was 2.3% and 1.2%, respectively. the method was used for the determination of cobalt in steel sample.

Flotation-separation and ICP-AES determination of ultra trace amounts of copper, cadmium, nickel and cobalt using 2-aminocyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylic acid.

A rapid flotation method for separation and enrichment of ultra trace amounts of copper(II), cadmium(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) ions from water samples is established. At pH 6.5 and with sodium dodecylsulfate used as a foaming reagent, Cu2+, Cd2+, Ni2+ and Co2+ were separated simultaneously with 2-aminocyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylic acid (ACDA) added to 1 l of aqueous solution. The propose...

Determination of Trace Amounts of Nickel by Differential Pulse Adsorptive Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry Using Calconcarboxylic Acid as a Chelating Agent

A method for the determination of nickel(II) by stripping voltammetry is described. The method is based on the adsorptive accumulation of nickel(II) calconcarboxylic acid complex onto a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE), followed by the reduction of the adsorbed complex using differential pulse voltammetry. The optimum operating conditions and parameters were found to be 0.05 M NH3/NH4Cl bu...

Determination of trace amounts of lead by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry in the presence of xylenol orange

Lead forms the complexes with xylenol orange in the basic solution. An adsorptivedifferential pulse stripping method for the determination of lead is proposed. The procedureinvolves an adsorptive accumulation of lead on a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) inthe presence of xylenol orange, followed by reduction of adsorbed lead by voltammetric scanusing differential pulse modulation. The opt...

Determination of trace amounts of thallium by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry with xylenol orange.

Trace amounts of thallium(I) can be determined using adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry in the presence of Xylenol Orange (XO). The reduction current of the thallium(I)-XO complex ion was measured by square-wave cathodic stripping voltammetry. The peak potential was at -0.44 V vs. Ag/AgCl. The effect of various parameters (pH, ligand concentration, accumulation potential and collection t...
