چکیده
eight male lambs each aged approximately 11 months and having a body weight of 32.5 ± 2.5 kg were selected as experimental samples in the ongoing experiment. for the supplemented group, monensin was fed at 22 mg/lamb per day. relationships between dietary characteristics and fecal as well as urinary nitrogen losses were examined using data from the two treatments. microbial n production was estimated using non-linear multiple regression in which the metabolizable energy and nitrogen intake variables formed part of the equation (r 2 = 0.94). the results revealed that monensin supplement did not have any significant effect on dmi, adg, fcr and blood parameters (p>0.05). but, protozoal population, rumen and urine ph, creatinine clearance and glomerular filtrate rate were significantly affected by the treatment (p

The effect of inclusion of garlic essential oil (EO) at 33, 66 and 100 μg mL-1, raw garlic (GAR) at 5, 10 and 15 mg mL-1 and monensin (MON) at 7.5 μg mL-1 of incubation medium on organic matter digestibility (OMD) was studied with in vitro gas production, ANKOM daisyII and conventional in vitro (IVOMD) methods. The material was incubated with sheep ruminal fluid and the experimental design was ...

Effect of Diet Physical Form on Performance and Diet Digestibility in Finishing Fat-Tailed Lambs
This study was conducted in two experiments to evaluate the dietary physical form on dry matter intake (DMI), performance, carcass traits and nutrient digestibility from Kalkuhy (an Iranian fat–tailed breed) male lambs. Initial lamb body weight (BW) average was, 32 .81 ± 2 kg, and 110 ± 10 days of age. Three treatments (diet physical form) included T1: total mixture diet (TMR) mixed diet (MD), ...
