چکیده

considering the importance of ticks in terms of the spread of diseases among camels, various types of ticks in zabol were studied. during this study which started at february of 2006 till july of 2007, 260 camels were selected randomly from 5 regions. the breeds of camels were camelus dromedary (imported from afghanistan). in this study the genus and species of 331 ticks were diagnosed. the results of this study showed that 9% of camels were infected. the frequency of hyalomma dromedarii and hyalomma anatolicum were 96.67% and 3.32% respectively. as in this study, only 2 species of hyalomma were diagnosed, it seems that the variety of ixodidae ticks was very less and needs more investigation about tick fauna in camels.
