From E-learning to Ubiquitous Learning; Theoretical Principles
Background: Because of approaches to learning in every place and at any time, ubiquitous learning with knowledge of the context and framework, and due to the development of wireless technologies and sensors, the learning process has changed. Mobile learning and ubiquitous learning as models of e-learning that refer to the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and skills through wireless technolog...
متن کاملAn e-Learning Theoretical Framework
E-learning systems have witnessed a usage and research increase in the past decade. This article presents the elearning concepts ecosystem. It summarizes the various scopes on e-learning studies. Here we propose an elearning theoretical framework. This theory framework is based upon three principal dimensions: users, technology, and services related to e-learning. This article presents an in-de...
متن کاملUbiquitous E-Learning: Are We There Yet?
The vision of ubiquitous computing suggests the seamless and unobtrusive availability of computer-based services. It is debatable whether e-learning has reached or is soon able to reach such a mature stage. The paper argues that ubiquitous information and communication technology does not constitute in itself a sufficient learning environment for everyone. Instead, it seems to be a long and win...
متن کاملRethinking e-learning design on generative learning principles
As the latest in a long history of educational innovations implemented in the wake of technological advances, e-learning appears to have adopted a widely accepted and largely technocentric instructional design paradigm, that generally lacks an educationally sound, theoretical basis for design. We report on an investigation of the fruitfulness of a new, generative theory and model of learning fo...
متن کاملLearning from MOM’s principles
We obtain estimation error rates and sharp oracle inequalities for a Birgé’s T-estimator using a regularized median of mean principle as based tests. The results hold with exponentially large probability – the same one as in the gaussian framework with independent noise– under only weak moments assumption like a L4/L2 assumption and without assuming independence between the noise and the design...
متن کاملFrom e-learning to e-knowledge
There are numerous discourses associated with knowledge management but it is only in recent times that e-learning has been identified as a strategic resource that can be utilised in an increasing diversity of venues (home, workplace, cultural and entertainment venues, as well as traditional institutions of learning, education, and training). This chapter focuses on this issue and is concerned w...
